Ingredients
Scale
18 oz canned coconut milk
6 oz coconut water
6 oz orange liqueur (like Grand Marnier)
9 oz silver tequila
4 oz fresh lime juice
1 cup ice (for blending)
Optional garnish: Shredded coconut, lime wedges
Instructions
Gather all liquid ingredients: coconut milk, coconut water, orange liqueur, tequila, and lime juice.
In a large pitcher or blender, combine the coconut milk, coconut water, orange liqueur, tequila, and lime juice. Stir or pulse briefly to mix.
To serve immediately, add 1 cup of ice to the blender and blend until smooth. Pour into salt-rimmed glasses.
For a pitcher serving style, mix all liquids in the pitcher and chill for at least one hour. When serving, pour individual portions over ice.
If you want a frosty look, rim your glasses with lime juice and then press the rims into shredded coconut before pouring the drink. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Notes
For a cranberry twist, add 2 ounces of cranberry juice to the pitcher mixture.
If you prefer a sweeter drink, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of agave nectar to the mix.
You can prepare the liquid base for this pitcher recipe up to 24 hours ahead of time and keep it refrigerated. Add ice just before serving.
