Make this easy, smoky, oven-baked Texas Roadhouse Style Salmon at home. This recipe delivers a buttery glaze that melts into tender, flaky salmon fillets. It is quick to prepare, perfect for weeknight dinners, and impressive enough for guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • For the Glaze:
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for simple cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels. This helps achieve a better texture.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt. Rub this seasoning mixture evenly over the top and sides of each salmon fillet.
  4. Place the seasoned salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using) to create the glaze.
  6. Brush about half of the glaze mixture evenly over the tops of the salmon fillets.
  7. Bake the salmon for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets, until the salmon is mostly cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Remove the salmon from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the fillets.
  9. Return the salmon to the oven for another 2 to 3 minutes, just until the glaze caramelizes slightly and the salmon is fully cooked. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
  10. Serve your moist and juicy salmon immediately with your favorite sides, like mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.

Notes

  • For extra crispy skin, place the salmon skin-side down on a wire rack set over the baking sheet before seasoning and baking.
  • If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, add 1 minced clove of garlic to the glaze mixture.
  • This recipe works well for meal prep; store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
