Make these simple, decadent sugar cookie truffles using store-bought cookies. This no-bake recipe requires only four ingredients and creates melt-in-your-mouth, bite-sized sweets perfect for parties or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16 ounce) package soft sugar cookies (like Lofthouse style)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (12 ounce) package white chocolate melting wafers (or milk chocolate)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother dipping)

Instructions

  1. Place the sugar cookies in a large bowl or a food processor. Process or crush the cookies until they form fine crumbs.
  2. Add the softened cream cheese to the cookie crumbs. Mix them together by hand or with a mixer until a uniform, thick dough forms.
  3. Roll the dough mixture into small, uniform balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Chill the cookie balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm them up. This step is important for easy dipping.
  5. Melt the white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl according to package directions, stirring every 30 seconds. If using, stir in the coconut oil for a thinner consistency.
  6. Dip each chilled cookie ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Tap off any excess chocolate.
  7. Return the coated truffles to the parchment-lined sheet.
  8. If desired, immediately add festive sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
  9. Allow the chocolate coating to set completely at room temperature, or chill briefly for faster setting.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use high-quality vanilla extract in the dough mixture if your cookies are plain.
  • If you do not have store-bought cookies, you can bake a simple sugar cookie recipe and let it cool completely before crushing.
  • These make excellent make ahead desserts for holidays.
