Ingredients
Scale
3 cups cooked, shredded chicken
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup ranch dressing
1/2 cup buffalo hot sauce (like Frank’s)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles (optional)
2 tablespoons green onions, sliced, for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a medium baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, buffalo hot sauce, and melted butter. Mix until the ingredients are fully incorporated and smooth.
Stir in 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese and the blue cheese crumbles, if using. Mix gently.
Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Top the dip evenly with the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is hot throughout and the cheese on top is melted and lightly golden.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with sliced green onions.
Serve this hot chicken dip warm with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers.
Notes
For a quicker version, you can combine all ingredients and heat them in a slow cooker on low for 1 to 2 hours, stirring halfway through.
If you prefer a spicier dip, increase the amount of buffalo hot sauce used.
Use canned chicken for an even faster preparation time when you need a simple party food.
